This is an expression
my sister savvy picked up somewhere along the way of life and i consider it
hers . Often when i travel i think if her and these words come to mind
Today there were
three very specific thin moments
One arriving to bali
barat hotel nusa bay hotel . On the dock . With the aquamarine water underneath
us and the black monkeys swinging in the trees . Then going back to the same
dock in our bathingsuits - all three of us in the deep

ocean with dusk about to set and the mountains and sky a hazy pink purple . All
of us silent and mesmerized by the beauty - too pretty even for pictures
After a looong drive
of 7 hrs with many great visiting stops we arrived at nusa bay and a very wooden
simple boat was waiting to take us to our hotel . Completely rustic and simple
which is exactly what we ordered ! A jungle really with
monkeys everywhere and deer and pigs . And basically we have a little tiny
treehouse overlooking the ocean . Bear and i are seriously impressed . Hubby is
a little scared :) very rustic and incredibly simple and yet breathtaking
Tomorrow from here we
leave at 7am for a nature wildlife trek with the ranger and then apparently the
best snorkelling bali has to offer .
On our way here we
stopped to the most beautiful waterfall one could ever imagine .

believe it is called .And got to bathe in it at the bottom . Another thin
moment as we all played like children under the spray and spell of it all . And
said our prayers - all for beauty and her surgery . It felt in that moment that
the universe had our backs and especially
hers . It suddenly
all in that moment felt ok . And more peaceful . It was glorious to be there
with my two guys in that abundant nature . Truly felt breathtaking
Only thing is way to
short these little short excursions . We could have spent hours there yet only
had minutes :( the scooter ride back through the jungle was awesome too !
Another thing making
me sad amongst so much happiness is that we didn't do a family of five trip
here . Don't get me wrong it is amazing
alone with bear but
it is so totally the perfect family place for so many reasons and
specifically our family . Would have been an amazing experience
for all . And
affordable as so cheap !!!! If anyone out there in the world is
planning a big family far away trip - plan it here !!!!! Such perfect spot for
teens too .
Maybe one day
we can come again
all five but likely not :( all the kids are entering stages of their
lives where trips
this far away and longer will be a thing of the past ! I already see with chase
would be super hard in university
with studies and
stages and internships and involvement
.
Cant have it all ! So
so so happy to share this with bear .
It is so incredibly
bonding to be the three of is . I think it is very special for him .
Very much so . He
is such an easy companion in most
ways too . He
summed it up perfectly today when we asked him which part
of the trip has
been his fave so far and he said
" Every single
moment "
Its so perfectly true
Bali is perfection
I always knew it
would be for me
So glad i made the
space for it at this time of our lives
