I have been saying this all day to my family in a funny voice.
A sign of Tarina (me) really relaxing when I start acting
silly throughout the day. As of this morning I felt less weight on my
shoulders, less anxiety, less worry and less sadness. I was ready to have
fun..and I did.
Hubby and I got up early and headed for the sunny beach
knowing full well the good weather doesn’t last. So between 9am-3pm beautiful
hot sunny weather. The boys windsurfed and I found a temporary friend for Beauty
(I went on a search) that friendship lasted a few hrs but was fun for her. Then
some lounges in the pool and in the ocean, some reading and some sailing.
We booked surfing lessons for the boys tomorrow for 3 hrs
at a different beach we will all go to. And booked swimming with the dolphins
for Beauty and I Thursday. An ATV buggies for the boys too.
We started heading for lunch and at 2:45 the weather took
over . Heavy heavy rain and winds to the point that even when it stopped
raining it was so windy nearly impossible to sit on the beach. And it is 8pm
and has not let up. I am praying tomorrow ends. Thanks God we got some sun
today and beach weather.
We had a super inside lunch and we laughed and laughed
and laughed (hubby not so much-he is not a fan of rain and wind and has a hard time
making the best of it). I had a blast and so did the kids. Then I went dan
negotiated some extras with the concierge given that oneof the preferred
lounges is closed and restos too due to renovations. Of course I got my
way! Annoy the hell out of my family-but
they sure do love the perks I always get!
We will have dinner on the beach itself by candlelight the
five of us tomorrow might (if the wind dies down). Will be funny as for honeymooners
and there our little loud family will be! Also hubby and I get to use the spa
facilities for free…the hot tubs and bali beds.We went there tonight and fell asleep
for an hour on the huge huge bali bed and then went in the hot tub.
Ok by me!
Tonight is Spice the Asian fusion resto and a bit fancier
and so Beauty wearing her grade 6 prom dress –that will be funny to see. Chase
just took a plastic chair into the shower and is chilling. Bear is on the
balcony facebooking his 1000 friends who also happen to be on vacation at other
resorts in Punta Cana.
And I am just enjoying having no itch whatsoever to think
of work, or home or email or communication.
I am
enjoying the bliss of a blank mind.
So far weather very so so at best-let’s hope it remains
so so and does not decline and then my blank mine is going to be pissed off a
lot.
Tonight Beauty sleeping with Daddy and me with the boys.
Chase going to choose a gift for his girlfriend back home (this must be serious
if he is willing to part with money)
Ahh…vacation…..so not like ,my reality.
I hope.
1-day by day my Mom is getting better
2-That my Hubby feels a little more relaxed soon( wind
stressing him out and storms and his not drinking alcohol is very hard on vacay-he
is doing great..But I wish he were even more relaxed and that this was easier
for him)
3-That our excursions and family photos are fun and turn
out well
4-that we are blessed with a minimum of everyday being at
a minimum ¾ of day with good hot sunny weather like we all deserve here.
