Whenever a vacation comes around –always follows the same
pattern. Takes a day or two to get into it….and then a couple of days before it
is over….you just pray it will not end.
Vacation is so much better than reality in so many ways.
Take for instance the kid’s room. They have a full minibar
of soda and they just keep drinking soft drinks and ordering room service
pizza. I also dared enter their bathroom today..OMG..what a mess. A hazard
actually.
Different from reality??? Just a bit?
Again tonight at dinner we just laughed and laughed and laughed.
At everything. I love these people so much. I never imagined life with teens
would be this fun.
I woke up this morning feeling like shit. But Hubby was
better! And so was Beauty! I wondered how I would make it through the day with
dolphin excursions with Beauty. But I did it….and had a super time. When got
back slept for an hour and almost did not make it to dinner as felt like a bus
ran over me..But forced myself and felt ok.
Dolphin excursion was great-we laughed a lot and it poured
and poured rain on our heads and we almost slipped and fell into the shark pit!
Lol! Then we saw a parrot show and a sea lion show. Beauty had a great 21 yr.
old guy totally smitten with her all day. He had Down Syndrome and was the sweetest
guy ever. She felt so special to be flirted with all day..Was so adorable. And
her first kiss too! By Venus the dolphin!!! Hahah
The boys did some dirt buggy thing and talked about
penises all day apparently. They came home full of mud and sewage and Bear was
depressed as he did not pass for 18 yrs. so could not drive one alone. I am too
tired to write about their guy excursion…sorry!
Beauty and I sneaked her into the spa tonight on way back.
Was cold and pouring rain and so we jumped into the hot tub and then told scary
stories under to the towels on the huge bali bed and tried to hide her as she
is not 18 either!
Despite all the talk of rain.. it actually is still pouring
and storming now like crazy…but the timing was good today for these crappy downpours.
We spend 9:30-2:00pm in the beautiful hot sunshine an as soon as left for excursions
all hell broke loose. We were fine with that. Got our sun in!!! This morning was
beach, pool, ocean, pool, ocean pool, floater, drink, floater, pool. Hamburger
on the run, ocean, lemonade, pool.Ocean. Bear played volleyball for hours and
then Chase and Bear basketball in the pool. Ahh..Love vacation life.
I know these vacation blogs must be sooooooo boring to read.
But they won’t be boring for me to read one day…and remember.
There is nothing like the gift of time …some times on
this vacation I have thoughts or worries or work that go through my head and I
juts literally push them out and away. There is plenty of times for those in my
real life.
For now I am happy being with my family and enjoying the
sun and rain here. Feeling free and happy…since that is what peaceful people
feel like..no matter what is happening around them or to them.
Peace
is a state of mind…and I am enjoying trying it out on myself for fit.
Tomorrow our last full day and will write my best (and worst)
moments of the vacation. I like looking back..And always remembering that even
though vacation time can also be hard.
Hard to leave work, hard to pack, hard to pay back the money on the line of
credit, hard to leave …it is always
always worth it.
