Climate already shifted here ! Doesn't take much to take down that happy
climate ! Wanted to keep it real for my blog readers- so here I am :)))
Nothing major just normal life and transition to kids being off for
summer .
Bear yesterday was unbearable. Omg . First day home for him after exams
. I worked all day and at end of day took him on a couple of errands and to orthodontist
.During errands asked him to do a simple thing in the grocery store and he just
refused (clarification he is 15 yrs. old and not 2 yrs. old)
He refused
Then debated and debated
Debated
Debated
Debated (him not me)
Errand never got done as ran out of time
I lost it in parking lot and yelled at him and pulled on his t-shirt (stopped
myself from pulling his hair)
He cried and screamed
Yup. The climate has cooled off here a little.
(Did I mention that it happiness seems only to be felt on weekends
around here?)
Continued into evening as I made him write out 150 times” I will respect
authority and listen to my parents”
And he did. With a yellow crayon I could not read as was invisible. And
muttered obnoxious things to me the whole hour it took him.
(i.e.: mom you lost your job and are now a cleaning lady I see??)
Yup that one got me good I must say .I cried all night in my bed.
Stubborn mule he is. Even when his Dad got home at 10:30 pm he still
stuck to fact that he does not have to listen to teachers or parents if he
disagrees with the command (i.e.: go get an item in grocery store)
And this...
Is my GOOD child??????????
Imagine my bad ones.
Beauty was caught without her helmet on bike and lied about it . (ahh
the joys of having a home office!!!)I used to get to pretend to myself my kids
were honest.
Chase is away on grad camping trip so have no clue what the issues are there
but I can guess!
So Hubby and I did the responsible and smart thing and what any self-respecting
parent would do……and:…… are leaving these people today in the care of my Mom
and going to cottage couple of days (holiday here today)
Will be on crazy text with them lots I bet trying to keep track of three
teens so don't know how much relaxing
can be done.. But need to have a little break from these crazy offspring of ours.
Then will go pick them up and a bunch of their friends for our traditional kick
off to summer cottage weekend with a big gang and hopefully get back to happy
times.
Hopefully by then... They will have transitioned to more normalcy and
humans and happier times ... And I will have gotten over the fact (my biggest fear!)
that I have lost my career and executive status and now have a demotion to
cleaning lady!!!!
(He knows which buttons to push. Annoying but brilliant one!)
