Today is someone’s birthday (post on that later tonight)…
And guess what?
As she left for school today she made a point of coming
into the office-looked right into my eyes-gave me a warm and cuddly hug and
said “thank you so much for all the beautiful gifts and everything for my bday”
It felt soooooo nice and soooo good.
I was so proud of her
I fundamentally believe that we teach and train our kids,
ourselves and the others around us important skills for what they need now and
later in life. It takes a lot of work, maybe a few hurt feelings, a lot of consistency
and a lot of energy. But is both our gift to ourselves and our gift especially to
that child to take the time to teach them.Yay Beauty! Good Job!!!
